geb. 26. 12. 1911 Record Labels: Starday, Rounder, Tennessee Bashful Brother Oswald, in Wirklichkeit heißt er Beecher Pete Kirby, spielt Banjo und Dobro und singt mit rauer, unbeschwerter Stimme. Seit 1938 spielt er in der Band von Roy Acuff und vertritt stilistisch auf der Dobro-Gitarre die Hawaii-Richtung. Das Banjo spielt er im alten Clawhammer-Stil. Inzwischen hat Brother Oswald zahlreiche Solo-L.P.s eingespielt.
