Brad Wilson? He is the little brother of Kim Wilson, the boss of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, who brought him to the blues at the age of twelve. He calls his music old school blues with soul. His first CD (comes in a simple cardboard sleeve) is reminiscent of the classic recordings of Junior Wells or Slim Harpo. He really doesn't sing badly, and his big brother and a good band provide a strong foundation. Mono, recorded at Bigtone Studios. Solide!

Ich kaufe jede Scheibe, auf der Kim Wilson Harp spielt und dieses Urvertrauen ist auch hier natürlich nicht enttäuscht worden. Aber die Platte hat noch einiges mehr zu bieten, die Rhythmusgruppe ist der Hammer und der Sound super! Die Stückauswahl, alles Covers, finde ich nicht durchgängig gelungen, obwohl einige schöne Interpretationen dabei sind. Achso, und Brad singt ok ;-)
