Arthur Weston

Next Stop Vietnam

Little information is available on bluesman Arthur Weston. Mike Leadbitter, et al's definitive 'Blues Records' ['The Bible Of The Blues'] notes only that he recorded five sides in East St. Louis, Illinois in September 1964.

One of the five, Uncle Sam Called Me, featured George Robinson on harmonica and Big Joe Williams on second guitar. Although Weston's lyrics implied that he was called up by the Army, that could not be confirmed.
