Mina had another hit with "Prendi una matita". Nico Fidenco was equally successful in 1961, storming the charts in Italy with "Il mondo di Suzie Wong" and "Legata a un granello di sabbia", among others. ornella Vanoni and Gino Paoli also contributed several titles. Connie Francis also excelled in Italian and made it into the Italian charts with "Chitarra romana" and "Aiutami a piangere".
German artists were also represented. The brother and sister duo Alice & Ellen Kessler had a great success in Italy with "Da-da-un-pa". This double CD presents 50 original recordings of the most successful Italian titles of 1961
