A thematic compilation (CD) with a very rare doo-wop and teenage rock and roll songs from the 50s to the early 60s. The Dee Jay Jamboree Dee Jay Records CD series is an excellent addition to the Bear Family Records Doo Wop CD series of Street Corner Symphonies.

Each of these Dee Jay Jamboree CDs comes with an 8-12 page booklet rare label photos and artist photos. All recordings were very elaborately dubbed in their own Dee Jay Records studio in Hamburg by the original Doo Wop and Teenage Rock And Roll singles and without sound loss.

On the CDs of Dee Jay Jamboree you will find very rare Doo Wop recordings who cost a fortune on the original vinyl records.

Buffalo Bop – A legendary music label!

The record company Buffalo Bop from Hamburg, Germany, was founded as early as 1978 by Hans Peter Zdrenka then under its first name 'Bison Bop'. The label started a tremendous record series already with its first issues on vinyl. The focus was to reissue or even issue for the first time those unknown jewels from small and tiny little U.S. independant labels from the 50s and 60s.

Zdrenka also started a similar CD album series with interesting cover pictures after he re-named the label from Bison Bop to Buffalo Bop. The sound on these records and CDs is mostly rough tough Rockabilly stuff, the steamhammer way, originally recorded in some primitive garage or cellar. They are all dubbed from original old vinyl discs and freshly remastert to maintain the original sound – and what can we say: It rocks from A to Z!

Hammer!

Bei dieser Zusammenstellung knallt es (für damalige Zeiten) gewaltig! Sound ist super, das Cover/Booklet macht sich (wie auch die anderen "Buffalos") gut in meinem CD-Wanddisplay. "Runnin' and Chasin' von Darrel Rhodes gefällt mir am besten.
