The double live album Roadsongs was recorded in support of the 2009 Grammy-winning album Already Free and features over 100 minutes of music from throughout their career. The recording is full of dynamics and a warm, present sound, capturing the raw, spontaneous energy of a live show.

With his wife Susan Tedeschi joining the Derek Trucks Band in 2010 to form the Tedeschi Trucks Band, this double live album ""Roadsongs" is possibly the last album from this lineup of the Derek Trucks Band.

Recorded after the Grammy award-winning "Already Free," this set contains over 100 minutes of music from throughout his career. The recording is incredibly dynamic and has a warm, clear sound while capturing the raw, spontaneous energy of a live show. The setlist emphasizes tracks from the album "Already Free," but also includes a number of other songs that shine with excellent guitars, incredible percussion, blaring horns and deeply poignant vocals.
