New life for forgotten songs
Two years after his last album We're All In This Together, Walter Trout returns from the studio in 2019 with a new longplayer: Survivor Blues!
Instead of his own songs, the US guitarist and singer decided to record a cover album this time. He didn't use any classics or evergreens as a model, but instead more unknown songs, which have never or only rarely been reinterpreted so far.
Trout gave them a completely new blues look with a personal touch for Survivor Blues.
Walter Trout recorded Survivor Blues with producer Eric Corne in Los Angeles, in the studio of former The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger. And he was ready for a guest appearance. Further musical support came with a song by Rhythm & Blues singer Sugaray Rayford.
Almost forgotten songs meet modern blues: On Survivor Blues Walter Trout breathes new life into some exciting pieces!
