Zwei Kanadier plus der wohl auf Madagaskar geborene dritte Gitarrist mit einem selten spannenden, oft in schier endlose Gitarrenspielereien ausartenden Album. Da lobe ich mir Musiker wie Ali Farka Toure, von denen nicht behauptet wird, sie würden 'den Blues zu neuen und wunderbaren Plätzen tragen' / two white Canadians, plus a Madagaskar-born guitarist, recorded in Canada. They all can play. But technical skills alone don't sum-up for something new and exciting. In the liner notes, 'Lester Quitzau takes the blues to new and wonderful places'. If they say so.
