Just over two years ago, the band presented us with 'Turn Of The Wheel', probably their most mature, but in any case their most successful work to date. Compared to their predecessors, the band, led by Jeff Massey, had become catchier and at the same time more radio-friendly, but had not moved away from their original, down-to-earth rock performance. Reminiscences of The Rolling Stones and The Faces were almost permanent, as was a certain closeness to The Black Crowes.

. Logically, this also applies to the current album by The Steepwater Band, which, even if the title suggests it, is by no means a remake of the last album, but a continuation. The band's intention was to offer the fans fresh material as soon as possible, in order to keep them happy due to the cancelled tour for 'Turn Of The Wheel'.
