GRAMMY winner Sturgill Simpson has announced the simultaneous release of "Sound & Fury", his new album and accompanying Netflix anime movie. The lead single "Sing Along" provides a foretaste of the album.
"Sound & Fury" is Simpson's fourth studio album. Produced by Simpson himself, the album was mainly recorded at the McGuire Motor Inn in Waterford, Michigan, together with his band mates Bobby Emmett, Chuck Bartels and Miles Miller, who all co-produce alongside GRAMMY nominee John Hill (Cage The Elephant, Portugal. The Man, Bleachers).
The album - which Simpson calls a "greasy, steaming rock 'n' roll album" - marks the celebrated singer and songwriter's departure from the acclaimed Grammy-winning "A Sailor's Guide To Earth" (2016).
