The fantastic label Dee-Jay Records from Hamburg, Germany put out this tremendous Doo-Wop CD series called 'Explosive Doo-Wops'. It's in fact a milestone for Doo-Wop listeners and historians. This series collect millions of small label and/or the great unknowns of Doo-Wop music plus some very rare stuff. Best example of rare stuff within this series is Joey Dee's (of Joey Dee & The Starliters-Peppermint Twist-fame) first commercial recording from 1956! If it's Doo-Wop from rare and small labels, be sure you'll find it in this series.

There are some other fine Dee-Jay Doo-Wop releases regarding areal Doo-Wop, such as Philly Doo-Wops. Doo-Wop vocal groups from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,late 1950s and early 1960s.
