Reverend Raven & The Chainsmok: Live At Blues On Grand

One of the most inspiring traditional Chicago style blues albums, recently recorded. They love to play, and it shows! The Reverend refers to Albert Collins, Freddie King, and Magic Sam. And he knows how to play their style. He plays with his own reverb-driven sound. Madison Slim is considered one of the finest amplified harp players, '50s Chicago style. He was a member of the Legendary Blues Band, played in Sam Lay's band. Also, he was a long-time member of the late great Jimmy Rogers's blues band. Great rhythm section, too. One of the most entertaining tradtional, electric style blues album I've heard in a long while. Highly recommended! REV. RAVEMN - gtr/voc, MADISON SLIM - hca/voc, ANDRE MARITATO - bass, KID PANOSH - drums.
