Hope this double Proby CD goes down well with the general public. His first 4 mid-60's L.P's remastered by BGO. It's an absolutely fantastic set by one of greatest male vocalists ever. There's no other singer out there with such a versatile voice as Proby's. I have the utmost respect for singers known these days as legends but this guy should be up there head & shoulders above all of them & on a par with Elvis who everyone calls the King.
These 4 albums were all magic but in my view his \In Town\" recordings of show & film classics are unbeatable....every song on the L.P. he makes his own.What a unique voice! Pity the bad publicity about him accidentally splitting his trousers a few times onstage in 1965 makes most people remember him for that & not the VOICE! Proby fans know better!
