(Black Penny Records) 14 Tracks - Kris Pohlmann was born in England in 1977 and moved to Germany at the age of 22. As a teenager his world revolved around Status Quo, ZZ Top, Free & Cream. Before discovering the blues, it was rock music that inspired him to learn to play the guitar. After spending seven years as front singer of the Kris Pohlmann Band, Kris decided to break up the band in summer 2013 and form a new band as solo artist.
Until this reorientation he had released two albums and won no less than six German Blues Awards (including "Best Album", "Best Song", "Best Singer", "Best Band"). His release "Taylor Road" from 2015 has gained worldwide recognition and reached the Top 10 of Blues-Rock albums in Germany.
"10 Years Live" was recorded during Kris Pohlmann's successful 2016 European tour. The release precedes an extensive European tour next year to celebrate Kris Pohlmann's tenth anniversary on stage.
Kris Pohlmann's loyal fan base knows that his concerts are a guarantee of explosive blues rock. His club and festival gigs are known for their great energy and sweaty, limitless entertainment. Most of the Spring Tour concerts were recorded to ensure that the recordings were captured in different environments - smaller clubs as well as larger venues.
This tour, which promoted the release of "Taylor Road" in 2015 - one of the 15 best blues rock releases worldwide (bluesrockreview USA) - included concerts in England, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, as well as a special 10-year anniversary celebration and a live event in his own studio in Duisburg. The very familiar atmosphere of this event turned out to be an inspiration for the band and led to a truly electrifying performance. In fact, more than half of the album material comes from this one concert.
