Dewey Phillips: Red Hot & Blue - Radio Broadcasts 1952-1964

Dewey spielte als erster 'That's All Right' von Elvis! Zu hören gibt's u.a. Amos Milburn, Piano Red oder Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Einzigartig / One hour of radio broadcasts featuring Dewey Phillips from WHBQ in Memphis. He was, prior to Alan Freed, the most famous dj playing race records. But he was also the first to broadcast new releases from Elvin, Jerry Lee Lewis, and other great names in rock'n'roll and r&b. This CD contains an hour of broadcasts, excerpts from his 'Red Hot & Blue' radio shows. Very entertaining and a unique document.
