But during the last decade or so blues had almost completely been replaced by soul music in his repertoire. For those who admired and loved Darrell since he was the singer in bands led by Anson Funderburgh or Ronnie Earl, his definite move towards soul music was hard to understand. His fans were especially missing his doleful interpretations of slow blues. It was during the band's last tour of Europe that the idea of going back to the blues was developed. Well done. This is a beautiful set of well-chosen covers, and originals performed by a fantasti band led by one of the finest blues vocalist of white color: DARRELL NULISCH - voc/hca, JON MOELLER - gtr, KEVIN ANKER - kbds, STEVE GOMES - bass, ROBB STUPKA - drums.
