Recorded live in Denver during the first leg of their tour in support of their debut album. Rick Roberts and Michael Clarke are guest musicians.
McGuinn, Clark & Hillman was an American trio of the 1970s consisting of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark and Chris Hillman.
Reportedly, the trio was formed out of convenience rather than whim, as three members of The Byrds wanted to save their careers. Since each of them had another band and McGuinn was not in creative shape, the members gave in to requests (and paychecks) for a Byrds reunion.
The result was a self-titled debut album that was often criticized for its disco-heavy tracks. With the album quickly losing ground on the charts, the trio went on the road. While they acted like professionals on stage, the good feelings backstage quickly ended when Hillman even threw McGuinn into a urinal.

After Gene Clark's departure during the recording of the second album, the trio soon became a duo, performing under the name Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman Featuring Gene Clark. McGuinn and Hillman continued for one more album before disbanding altogether, ending the last attempt at a true reformation of the Byrds.
