Gustaf Gründgens
* December 22nd 1899 - October 07th 1963
Gründgens is an extremely versatile actor who dominated the scene until his death in 1963. From 1937 to 1945, in difficult times, he worked as general director of the Prussian State Theatre in Berlin. After the war and a brief denazification break, he was made general director in Düsseldorf. From 1955 to 1963 he was entrusted with the same office in Hamburg. In addition to his stage work, his love belongs to film. In 1960 he shot "The Glass of Water" (with Sabine Sinjen, Hilde Krahl and Liselotte powder). Polydor also publishes an EP of the same name with six titles. One of them is the Party Chanson.
