Die US-amerikanische Singer / Songwriterin Folk, Alternative Country und Americana-Sängerin Lucinda Williams wurde am 26. Januar 1953 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, geboren. Sie startete 1978 ihre Aufnahmekarriere und veröffentlichte bis 2017 insgesamt 14 Alben. 2011 gewann Lucinda Williams den 'Lifetime Achievement Award (Songwriting)' und ihr Album 'Down Where The Spirit trifft den Knochen' wurde 2015 zum 'Album des Jahres'. Neben diesen Preisen gewann sie drei 'Grammies' für ' Der beste Country Song 1993 ', das' Best Contemporary Folk Album 1999 'und mit dem Song' Get Right With God 'die' Beste weibliche Rock Vocal Performance 2002 '. Sie hatte Gastauftritte bei unzähligen Künstlern und Bands wie Chip Taylor, Little Milton, Kasey Chambers, Bonepony, Sue Foley, Ray Wylie Hubbard und Steve Earle, um nur einige zu nennen.
