LEE, Bryan Six String Therapy

this is an interesting combination: Bryan Lee, New Orleans based rock-tinged guitar player and vocalist, teaming-up with Duke Robbilard's band. And it works. Lee always wanted to record an album paying tribute to his early heroes, like Louis Jordan, B.B. King, or Big Joe Turner. Although almost no new material, the album with covers of lesser known tunes sounds very original. And Bryan Lee's guitar sounds great: powerful, reminiscent of Freddie King's style during the latter's most successful period. Recommended.
