(1999 'Wolf Records') (65:15/11) 'Recorded live at 'Lee's Unleaded Blues', Chicago, Nov. 28, 1999' - Mit 49 Jahren zählt er zur jungen Garde Chicagoer Musiker. Gerade live kann er mit seinem Soul/Blues überzeugen; einzig die teils geschmacklosen Keyboard-Sounds nerven etwas. Die Aufnahme ist okay, auch wenn sie ein bisschen dünn klingt und gelegentliches Knistern enthält / at age forty-nine he belongs to that group of younger Chicago blues players. His soul/blues can be best experienced at a live performance. This live CD may do, too. It's a good one, with the exception of sometimes tasteless keyboard sounds, and hiss (digital cracks?) from time to time. VANCE KELLY - gtr/voc, JOHN WALLS - kbds, DWIGHT EDWARDS - bass, CHARLES HANCOCK - drums, plus horns.
