The 2022 'Classic Blues Artwork from the 1920's' calendar with free CD has broad appeal to anyone interested in Blues music or history. Within its pages is a huge treasure trove of original Blues advertising artwork from the earliest days of recorded Blues history as well as photographs of Blues singers, both Pre-War and Post War. In addition, the calendar contains a free CD whose songs cleverly match up to the ad or artist featured for the month. This pairing brings the images to life!

This year's CD has a total of 24 tracks — 15 Pre-War classics from Blues masters Lead Belly, Henry Thomas, Blind Blake, Memphis Minnie, Ma Rainey, Furry Lewis and others, including two never-before-heard songs by Black Byrd and Washboard Walter. As an added bonus are nine live selections by Lead Belly from 1940's radio broadcasts.

These songs are newly restored using the American Epic sound team's amazing restoration techniques. Developed at great expense for the soundtrack of the PBS series, there is less surface noise and more dynamic range than in any previous release of these tracks. You will feel as if you are right in the room with the performers as they play and sing their hearts out!
