Blues Images is proud to present the 2021 "Classic Blues Artwork from the 1920's" calendar — a treasure trove of original advertising artwork, rare photographs of Pre-War singers, plus a free 23 track CD containing rare and obscure recordings of both Pre-War and Post War artists.

The Pre-War classics featured on the CD are from Blues greats Lead Belly, Ramblin' Thomas, Victoria Spivey, Blind Lemon Jefferson and Blind Blake. As a bonus, also included are 11 recently discovered, never-before-heard songs by Post War legend Lost John Hunter — the first African American Blues singer to record at the Memphis Recording Studio, now known as SUN Studios, with owner Sam Phillips at the controls.

These songs are newly restored using the American Epic sound team's amazing restoration techniques. Developed at great expense for the soundtrack of the PBS series, there is less surface noise and more dynamic range than in any previous release of these tracks. You will feel as if you are right in the room with the performers as they play and sing their hearts out!

This unique combination of calendar and CD cleverly matches the songs with each month's ad or artist — bringing the images to life! Also included are full-color CD inserts for calendar buyers to insert into their own jewel case.

Very appropriate in these pandemic times is the advertisement that graces the cover of the 2021 calendar — Blind Lemon Jefferson's 'Pneumonia Blues'.

Yet again an excellent calendar and CD from Blues Images and also an excellent service from Bear Family.

I have all of these calendars, issues 1 - 18, and CDs and they improve all of the time.

Un calendrier sans petits chats , sans petits chiens et sans fleurs mais une imagerie musicale qui touche tous les amoureux du blues avec une vignette du "Pneumonia Blues" de Blind Lemon Jefferson qui nous rappelle la pandémie qui sévit actuellement. Belle réalisation, et que dire du CD qui est joint ?

sie haben in ihrer wohnung eine wand frei? und sie sind dem blues nicht abgeneigt? dann wird es zeit für diesen kalender ... wunderbare fotos oder rare 78er ads aus den 20ern ... und wenn er hängt, der kalender, dann können sie sogar noch eine CD einlegen. achja, die benötigen noch €25 unnd einen zugang zur webseite der bear family ... sie werden es nicht bereuen !!
