John Robert Hiatt (born August 20, 1952) is an American singer-songwriter. His albums have featured a variety of musical styles, including new wave, blues and country. Hiatt was nominated for nine Grammy Awards and received a number of other awards in the music industry. His career began with the band White Duck, and in 1974 he released his first solo album, writing songs and performing in Ry Cooder's band. Hiatt has created an enduring body of work, selections from which can be heard on the 2LP John Hiatt Collection. John Hiatt Collected includes his songs "Riding With The King," "Memphis In The Meantime," "Have A Little Faith In Me" and other tracks from his early days through his critically acclaimed days in the eighties, nineties and beyond.
