(Real Gone Music) 11 tracks, teal Vinyl Pressing, includes Inner Sleeve with lyrics.
This extraordinarily talented pianist came out of the New York club scene with brashly rocking sound that drew obvious comparisons to Billy Joel and Elton John, but also reminded some but also Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley and J's labelmates Maroon 5. This sophisticated blend - with a touch of classic R&B - was a commercial success, as Gavin's 2003 debut album Chariot went platinum and spawned several hit singles, including the top ten hit (and One Tree Hill theme song) I Don't Want to Be. Our first vinyl pressing of Chariot sold out immediately , so we pressed more records in beautiful teal vinyl and included a printed inner sleeve with song lyrics. One of those albums from the early eighties that should have been on vinyl from the beginning.
