Who was/is German All Stars ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

A German All Star Band was assembled with Hans (James) Last on bass and pianist Paul Kuhn. Max Greger, who led a big band for 30 years, is part of it, as is Günther Fullisch (slide trombone), who led the NDR dance orchestra in Hamburg for 25 years. Saxophonist Delle Hänsch later became a successful record producer.

Other musicians of the session are Fred Bunge on trumpet, Franz von Klenck on alto saxophone, Gerd Hühns on guitar and Teddy Paris on drums. Among the songs are standards (Talk Of The Town, The Man I Love, etc.) and two originals. This extensive edition is rounded off with a studio recording. A rare and exciting document of the early history of jazz in post-war Germany.
