By the end of 1955 Elvis had left Sun Records in Memphis to become the leading artist in sales at RCA Victor and he remained with the company until his death in 1977. RCA was bought by BMG (Bertelsmann Music Group, Germany) in 1986 and the year 2005 saw the fusion of the German BMG with the Japanese Sony Music International. Sony took over the BMG percentages in 2008 and RCA became part of Sony Music's international catalogue. RCA (in combination with BMG and Sony) released more than 700 different CDs through the years since '86! No other artist ever came close to this huge number of issues – German Bertelsmann Club Editions, Time Life and Reader's Digest issues licensed by BMG/Sony are also included.

At this point we like to give you a special advice: Please be aware that different countries sometimes offer the same issue at different pressings which means that some issues got the same cover but a different track listing. Covers may differ as well as labelprints, photo inlays and other specialties, even prices may vary on different pressings. We do our best to mark this for your information on every single platter.
