DOWNLINERS SECT (UK)

The word 'punk' wasn't used in the mid-'60s, but this group had a different sound from others at the time.  They would probably have been described as 'garage R&B' back then.  Original members included Terry Gibson (guitar), Don Craine (guitar, vocals), Keith Grant (vocals, bass), and Johnny Sutton (drums).  The line-up in 1980 was Grant, Craine and Gibson plus Paul Tiller (harmonica, percussion) and Rod de'Ath (drums).
