Finger weg davon!

Wer bei einem Versand-Label ein ausgelobtes Angebot „Rock’N´‘Roll Mystery CD-Set“ für € 9,95 + € 3,99 VSK = € 13.94 bestellt, der muss natürlich auf alles gefasst sein.
In meinem Falle kamen hier 3 CD’s an: 1.) Fats Domino (übliche Titel) , 2.) Glenn Reeves – „Rock’n’Roll Style“ und 3.) Various – „Big Beat Vol. 4“, ein Sampler mit 25 tracks.
Zwei dieser CD’s waren ohne EAN-Nummer, die Fats-Domino-CD habe ich ungeöffnet gleich weiterverschenkt, denn ich hatte mir ja gerade bei BFR die neue Fats Domino 10 CDs
Box gekauft. Die CD von Glenn Reeves die, wie alle 3 CD’s, kein Inlay und nur äußerst spärliche Infos auf der Cover-Rückseite aufwies, ergab bei „Chartserver.de“ : 0 Titel unter den USA Top 100.“ Tonqualität: mangelhaft, alle Titel aus 1955 – 1958 Und genauso und ungefiltert hört sich das auch an. Bleibt noch CD Nr. 3: „Big Beat Vol. 4“. Recherchen dazu auf amazon.de, co.uk. und amazon.com liefern immer wieder den gleichen und einzigen Anbieter: Bear Family Records. Auch auf dem Cover dieser CD fehlen Angaben, wann die einzelnen Titel erschienen waren. Aus den 25 tracks dieser CD habe ich mit vielem Überhören tonqualitativer Mängel schließlich 4 Titel in meine Sammlung übernommen. Ein Label namens „Big It!“ soll diese CD fabriziert haben, jedoch wann, wo und wie?
Bei BFR weiss man bestens wie sich gute Tonqualität anhört, wie man dies auf CD bringt und damit Freude bereitet. Hiervon kann bei dieser ganzen „Mystery“- Sendung hinten und vorne keine Rede sein. Sie ist, wie man so sagt, „grottenschlecht“ und daran ändert auch nichts,
dass man einen seltenen Song von Gus Backus („Queen Of The Stars“ – zu Deutsch: „Der Mann im Mond“ ) hier findet. Eine Schwalbe macht noch keinen Sommer !!
