Geboren am 26. 8. 1942 in Buffalo (US-Staat New York). Sänger romantischer Balladen, der schon als Kind eine Ausbildung zum Tänzer erhielt. Wurde 1963 von Sammy Davis Jr. entdeckt. Mitte der 50er Jahre siedelte die Familie nach Kalifornien über, wo Dana zusätzlich Gesang studierte. Unterschrieb 1960 einen Vertrag beim Dolton-Label. Zwischen 1961 und 1970 kamen insgesamt 15 Dana-Singles in die amerikanischen Charts. Höchste Position: Rang 10 für “Red Roses ForA Blue Lady' 1965. Fünf Jahre später wechselte er zu Liberty. Danas Popularität blieb auf die USA beschränkt, keine seiner Aufnahmen konnte sich in den englischen Hitlisten platzieren. Auch seine immerhin sechs deutschsprachigen Singles fanden kaum Käufer.
