geb. 29. 10. 1942 in Russelville - Alabama Record Labels: MCA, Capitol Lee Clayton, ein Sänger, Gitarrist und Komponist, der in den 70er Jahren zum Songlieferanten der sogenannten 0utlaws wie Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker und Waylon Jennings wurde.Man nannte ihn deshalb auch gerne The 0utlaw's Outlaw. Für Jennings zum Beispiel schrieb er Ladies Love Outlaws. Clayton's Debut L.P. 1973 für MCA wurde ein Flop. Erst 1977 folgte ein neuer Plattenvertrag mit Capitol. Resultat: drei L.P.s, die vor allem bei den Pop- und Pop-Country-Fans Beachtung fanden. In den Country Charts blieb Lee Clayton erfolglos.
