Geboren 1943 in Belgien Die Art, wie André Brasseur Musik macht, verblüfft nicht nur Kritiker. So mancher Ton-Ingenieur im Plattenstudio musste neidlos anerkennen, das André Brasseur im Umgang mit Orgel und Synthesizer die glücklichere Hand hat. Wie dieser Künstler beide Instrumente miteinander harmonieren lässt, sucht seinesgleichen. Mit 7 Jahren erkannten die Eltern bereits das außergewöhnliche musische Talent des Sprösslings. Sie schickten ihn kurzerhand zur Ausbildung auf ein Konservatorium. Hier studierte Brasseur Mozart, Beethoven und weitere Klassiker. Mit 14 Jahren hatte er alle Mitschüler über- rundet und verließ mit Auszeichnung und Goldmedaille der belgischen Regierung die Schule. Wenig später war er von der Klassik auf den Jazz umgesattelt, gründete ein eigenes Jazz-Trio und spielte sich von Engagement zu Engagement. Er wurde schließlich von der Armee eingezogen und erhielt die Leitung des Orchesters der belgischen Streitkräfte. Seitdem beschäftigte sich Brasseur mit der Orgel, die ihn auch nach dem Militärdienst nicht mehr losließ. Seine Musik entspricht seiner Art, die Probleme der Welt mit Charme und natürlicher Freundlichkeit zu betrachten. Wo immer er musiziert, verbreitet er echte Lebensfreude. Grund dafür ist seine Persönlichkeit, aber ganz sicher vor allem sein origineller Happy-Sound. Original Presse-Info: RCA Schallplatten GmbH
